The “National rehabilitation center for the blind” Association (NRCB) is registered as a non- profit association in accordance with the legislation of the Bulgarian Republic. It was registered by the Agency of Social Assistance at the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy. It has a License for vocational training by the National Agency of Vocational Education and Training (NAVET). It has a License by the European certification programme European Computer Driving Licence for a training and test center. The National Rehabilitation Center for the Blind is approved by the Council of Ministers as a representative organization for visually impaired people at a national level. NRCB is a member of the National Council for the Integration of People with Disabilities, an institution with counseling functions at the Government.

NRCB offers activities in basic rehabilitation for VIP which aim at improving the social functioning of each individual and achieving maximum level of independence in life. A team of highly qualified special educators, psychologists and rehabilitation experts who have graduated in various educational institutions in Europe and USA, offers rehabilitation services such as basic rehabilitation, pre-vocational and vocational training. The NRCB is a member of ENVITER – an association of European institutions working in the field of rehabilitation and vocational training of visually impaired people. NRCB is an institution with a great capacity for working under European projects and programmes, for organizing scientific conferences and various events, related to the creativity and integration of visually impaired people.
